How to Make a Resident Evil Alice Costume

One of the most famous and most often emulated of these zombie hunters is Alice from the Resident Evil video game series. An Alice costume should look fierce, but also feminine and sexy. This may not seem easy to pull off, but with the right accessories and basic sewing skills, you can make an Alice costume that will turn heads and win praise.

- Red dress with spaghetti straps
- White chalk
- Scissors
- Black fabric
- Black thread
- Sewing machine
- Elastic
- Toy gun
- Black spray paint
- Black knee-high boots
- Leather jacket

Try on the dress and use a piece of white chalk to mark the dress on the left hip. Cut the hemline of the dress diagonally, starting at the bottom right corner of the dress and cutting diagonally up to the chalk mark.

To make the miniskirt that's worn under the dress, start with a piece of black fabric 12 inches long and wide enough to wrap around your with 2 inches to spare.

Fold the black fabric in half, bringing the shorter edges together. Sew a seam along the shorter edges.

Hem the bottom of the skirt. Hem the top of the skirt, leaving a 1 inch opening. Cut a piece of elastic just long enough to go around your waist.

Thread the elastic through the 1-inch opening and around the waistband. Gather the fabric as needed.

Wear the black skirt underneath the red dress. Pair the dress and skirt with black knee-high boots and a black leather jacket. Spray paint the toy gun black.
