An Mpeg-4 file, or MP4 file, is a formerly large video file compressed to a much smaller size so it can play on a portable MP4 player, such as an iPod. MP4 files can be made to play in the DVD format by using free conversion and burning software such as DVD Flick.

      Download and install the DVD flick software linked in Resource.

      Open and run DVD Flick.

      Click "Add Title" on the right side of the DVD Flick screen.

      Go to the MP4 file you want to burn and click on "Open" to add the file into the DVD Flick queue.

      Click "Project Settings" on the DVD Flick top menu bar.

      Click the "Burning" tab, then "Burn project to disc."

      Make sure your DVD burner is chosen under the "Drive" section.

      Insert a blank DVD-RW into the DVD burner.

      Click "Create DVD" from the menu bar. The MP4 file will be burned to the DVD-RW disc.

      Eject the newly burned DVD.
