1
Tie the end of the skein of white yarn around the anchor peg on the side of the flower loom. It's the only peg that can't be pulled out of the loom.
-
2
String the yarn across the top of the flower loom and wrap it clockwise around one of the pegs. Bring it back toward the peg sitting exactly opposite the first one and wrap the yarn around the peg clockwise.
-
-
3
String the yarn back across the top of the loom and wrap it clockwise around one of the pegs adjoining the first. Bring the string back across the loom to the peg sitting opposite this peg and wrap the yarn around it clockwise.
-
4
Repeat Step 3 all the way around the loom until every peg has yarn wrapped around it once.
-
5
Repeat Steps 2 through 4 a total of two more times. When finished, there should be three wraps of yarn, one on top of the next, on each peg. When finished, wrap the yarn around the starter peg two times and clip the yarn from the skein.
-
6
Cut a 4 foot length of yellow yarn and thread it through the plastic yarn needle.
-
7
Push the threaded yarn needle up through the bottom of the loom through the inside of one of the three stacked loops of white yarn. Pull the yarn through. Keep the last 4 inches of the yarn on the underside of the loom. This will be one of the tail ends used to tie off the yarn when the flower is finished.
-
8
Take the needle and cross over to the loop opposite the one the needle was just pulled up through. Push the needle down through the loop and pull it through from the bottom of the loom. Repeat this all the way around the loom until yellow yarn has been pulled up and through and then back down and through every loop forming the flower petals.
-
9
Cut the yarn, leaving a 4-inch tail. Tie the two yarn tail ends together at least three times. Unwrap the white yarn from the starter peg and clip to the length of the petals. Pull the pegs out from the top of the loom one by one until the yarn flower is released from the loom.

For thicker flowers, wrap around the loom more than three times.
Consider making two-toned flowers by taking turns wrapping one full round of the loom with one color and then using a another color for the next round.
