Remove the CD from your CD or DVD drive and examine it carefully. Look for dirt, scratches and other signs of damage.

Use the spray bottle to lightly mist the bottom of the CD with water. Then use a soft cotton cloth to begin wiping off the CD. Start at the middle of the CD and work your way out to the edges. Wipe each section of the CD carefully, making sure that you clean the entire surface of the CD.

    • 3

Place the CD back in the computer's CD or DVD drive and wait for it to be recognized. If the CD is not recognized by the computer, or if it ejects from the drive again, repeat the cleaning process using pure alcohol instead of water.
