Contact your local comic book store or playing group center. Many cities have organizations that specialize in helping gamers connect. In rural areas, the local comic book store may be able to put you in touch with gamers looking to form a group or add new members to existing groups.
-
4
View the recreational bulletin board at the local college or university. Many gaming groups and individuals advertise there because of the number of students who enjoy role-playing games.
-
5
Read through classifieds, both online and in newspapers. Some RPG groups will advertise there, providing their contact details so you can set up a time to meet with them.
-
6
Attend conventions. There are thousands of comic, gaming and science fiction conventions held throughout out the year. Attending conventions can put you in touch with other gamers.

7
Spend time getting to know potential groups before you make a commitment to one. Quality gaming requires the right meshing of personalities and imagination. Determining if you and an established group work well together may take time. Try to sit in on a session or two as an observer before attempting to play with them, and if it doesn't feel right, don't be afraid to keep looking.
