How to Get the Microphone to Work on the Wii for Guitar Hero

Guitar Hero: World Tour is a music simulator for the Nintendo Wii. The special edition version of the game comes with the game, as well as the instruments needed to fully enjoy the game. Guitars connect wirelessly, however, the microphone is a USB device and must be connected to the Wii. The microphone does not serve any other purchase outside of the game. You will still have to use a Wii Remote or a guitar to navigate the menus.

Instructions

1. Confirm that the Nintendo Wii off. If it is not, press the "Power." button located on the front, bottom left of the console.

2. Connect the microphone to either of the USB ports located on the back of the Wii.

3. Turn the Nintendo Wii on by pressing the "Power." button. Insert the Guitar Hero: World Tour disc.

4. Select the Guitar Hero: World Tour icon at the top left of the Wii Channel menu. This will start the game.

5. Use the microphone when prompted in-game.

Tips & Warnings

• Plugging the microphone in after you turn the console on or have started the game can result in the microphone not working correctly. Always connect the microphone (and most peripherals in general) before you power on the Wii.
