How to Move Songs From a PC to a Mac in iTunes

Apple's iTunes program is very convenient for playing digital songs that are stored on the computer's hard drive, and works in a similar fashion on Mac and PCs. Moving a song from iTunes on a PC to iTunes on a Mac involves more than just copying the song from one hard drive to another. A specific procedure must be followed or iTunes will not be able to use the song that came from the PC and that is now on the Mac. The procedure will not damage the song or iTunes in any fashion whatsoever.
