How to Expand the Virtual Memory on a Computer

If your computer has limited physical memory but plenty of free hard drive space you may be able to boost your performance by expanding the amount of virtual memory your system uses. Virtual memory uses the free space available on the hard drive to mimic physical RAM, and that can help the computer boot up faster while allowing the software packages on the computer to run more efficiently.
