Treating Gout

Gout is a joint condition that causes intense swelling and pain. Gout occurs when crystals form in the joints caused by a higher level of uric acid in the blood. Uric acid is made as your body breaks down substances referred to as purines.
Gout sufferers are recommended to avoid foods with high purines. Foods and drinks like sardines, bacon, liver and alcohol contain high levels of purines and consumption should be limited or avoided.
Gout sufferers have different options to relieve the pain of gout. One of those options of relieving gout pain is the use of celery seeds.
