Tips & Warnings
It is very important to ensure that there are not any unnecessary programs on your computer. Unused programs take up unnecessary space.
You can visually see the percentage of resources used at any given time by pressing CNTL+ALT+DEL and selecting the "Task Manager." At the bottom of the task manager is a percentage readout. A resting computer should not have a percentage readout of over 7-10%. If it does, you may have too many "Processes" running in the background.
Once AVG is completely installed and updated, you will need to uninstall your old Anti-Virus to free up the space.
If uninstalling a program, be sure you know what your doing. Uninstalling certain components and applications may cause your operating system to become unresponsive.
