How to Trace a Restricted Phone Call

If someone called you as a restricted number, and you wanted to find out who it was, I wanted to show you how you can trace a restricted phone call, when you want to know who's behind the scenes.

1. You'll want to mark down the time, and date of the call. This is going to be very important for our next steps.

2. You'll want to call up your phone carrier, and explain your situation. Tell them that someone had called you using a restricted number, and you really want to know who it was, and if you can trace it down to who actually made the call. Some carriers will help, some will not.

3. If the phone carrier isn't being that helpful, what you're going to want to do is look into hiring a private investigator. What you'll want to do is call up one in your local area, and explain your situation. Most will be able to help you.

4. Going the P.I. route can be costly, so make sure that it's worth it, when you do the restricted call route. You can spend more than $300 figuring out who called you.
