Cancel Amazon Prime Trial

So, you've registered for an Amazon Prime trial to save some money on shipping (or maybe you accidentally registered), but you don't want to use the service (and pay the required membership fee) when the trial's up. In this case, it's important to act fast, as you have to officially cancel your trial online before your trial period expires.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to Amazon.com. Log in with your email address and password.

    • 2

Click on "Your Account," located in the top right-hand corner of the page.

    • 3

Click on "Manage Prime Membership." This is located under the "More Order Actions" category.

    • 4

Click on the "Do not upgrade" button located in the "Membership Information" box. Your membership information should now give the message in red bold text that reads "Your membership is set to not upgrade automatically." Now, once your trial is over, Amazon Prime will not automatically withdraw money from your account.

Tips & Warnings

  • Cancel your Amazon Prime trial membership as soon as possible if you don't intend on keeping the service.

  • If you do not cancel the trial membership, your credit card will be charged the annual fee as soon as your trial period expires.
