How to Hook Up a Headset to a XBox Live

The XBox 360 Premium package includes a wireless headset. This headset only works when using the XBox Live service. You can use the headset to communicate with fellow online gamers, talking to them before, during and after a match or game. Setting up and connecting your headset only takes 5 to 10 minutes; you'll have to reconnect it between each use.

Instructions

1. Charge your headset before using it. Connect the USB cable to your XBox; connect the other end of the cable to your headset. The headset takes approximately six hours to fully charge. Once all four lights begin blinking simultaneously, the headset is charged.

2. Turn on your XBox and disconnect the USB charging cable. Turn your headset on by holding the power button located in front of the ear piece.

3. Press the connect button on the front of your XBox console and then press and hold the connect button on your headset for two seconds. When the "Ring of Light" on your console flashes, the headset is connected.

4. Sign-in to your XBox Live account. Set up your game and wear the headset. Adjust the volume using the headset volume knobs, if desired.

Tips & Warnings

• You can connect up to four headsets to your XBox. The order they are connected in will determine which quadrant is used; the first headset is used with the "Player 1" controller; the second headset with the "Player 2" controller.

• You can use your headset within 30 feet of your XBox. However, the closer you are, the better your reception is.
