How to Remove Hair From a Shedding Husky
When your husky is shedding, it might seem nearly impossible to remove all the hair. Huskies essentially have two coats of fur, to protect them from both the hot and the cold, and they shed one entire coat twice a year. If you don't take steps to remove some of the hair, it can get all over your house, including your furniture, carpet, flooring and bed. Removing the hair from your shedding husky is especially important if you allow your dog to jump on your furniture or if you have anyone in the house or any visitors who are allergic to dogs.

1
Pay attention to the difference between your husky's regular shedding and the two times a year when the dog sheds its entire coat. Huskies usually shed their coat during the major season changes from cold to hot and then from hot to cold. This will differ depending on the region in which you live.

2
Increase the frequency at which you groom your husky during this period to once a day, as opposed to the twice-a-week frequency a husky usually needs.

3
Remove the bigger clumps of hair with a shed blade. Start from the head of the husky and work back gently. Keep a trash can beside the dog for removed hair.

4
Apply a mist of water and conditioner to any part of the hair that is tangled. Move slowly through the tangled area with a metal comb.

Tips & Warnings
If you groom your husky regularly, the dog will become more comfortable with the process. That will make it easier for you when the shedding season arrives.
