Instructions

1
Make sure that your painted brick porch is clean and dry.
-
2
Apply a primer, spreading it over your brick porch in an even layer with a push broom. Excess primer should be brushed off.
-
-
3
Allow the primer to dry. Generally more than one hour but less than 24 hours is sufficient drying time.
-
4
Measure the amount of water that you need for mixing your self-leveling concrete. This amount may vary depending upon the manufacturer's directions. Pour all of the water except about 10 percent of it into your bucket.
-
5
Add the dry powdered self-leveling concrete to the bucket, using the drill to mix it with the water.
-
6
Slowly add the remaining 10 percent of the water and continue mixing with the drill for another two minutes to get a very smooth mixture.
-
7
Set the concrete spreader to ¼ inch.
-
8
Pour the self-leveling concrete over your brick porch, spreading it as you work across the area.
-
9
Immediately after spreading the concrete, smooth it with the steel concrete smoother to help reduce surface tension and pin holes.
-
10
Allow the self-leveling concrete to dry for at least four to five hours before allowing any contact with it.
