How to Set Up Ringback Tones on a BlackBerry Pearl with AT&T
One of the reasons why the BlackBerry Pearl is so popular is that it offers many ways to personalize your mobile phone experience. If you have AT&T as a service provider, you can personalize your BlackBerry Pearl with an answer tone. (Some other mobile carriers may refer to it as a ringback tone.) An answer tone is a ring tone that your callers here instead of a ringing noise when they call your BlackBerry Pearl.

Make sure that your AT&T BlackBerry Pearl is powered on and ready for use. Then access the Media Net through the icon on the Applications page.

Click "Tones, Games, Apps" under Categories and then click "Answer Tones." Scroll to the bottom of the page to click "Manage." Then click "My Answer Tones" to access the Answer Tone menu.

Choose which answer tone you would like to use. On the next screen, you will be asked who you want to hear this answer tone. For example, if you want everyone who calls your AT&T BlackBerry Pearl to hear a particular answer tone, you will select "Set as Default." You can also choose whether to assign it to specific callers or caller groups.

Tips & Warnings
If you can't find the Media Net icon on the Applications page, you can also access it from Internet Explorer. Click the "Internet" icon and then hit the "Menu" button. When the side bar menu opens, scroll down to "Bookmarks" and click it. Under "Bookmarks," you'll see a heading for Media Net. Under that, there will be a listing for "Home Page." You can click that and be taken to the Media Net home page.
