How to Connect My XBox 360 to a Wireless Internet

The Microsoft Xbox 360 is a next generation video gaming system. One of the perks to the gaming system is its ability to connect to the Internet. You can even access the Internet via a wireless connection, as long as you have the Microsoft Windows 360 I/O adapter connected to the system. Once connected you can download additional content for your games and even play against others connected to the Internet with their Xbox 360s.

      Power down the Xbox 360 and remove anything you currently have connected to the I/O port on the rear of the gaming device.

      Insert the Xbox 360 adapter into the gaming device by attaching it into the two slots next to the I/O port. Take the cable running out of the Xbox 360 and insert it into the I/O port.

      Flip up the antenna on the side of the adapter. It should point directly up towards the ceiling.

      Power on the Microsoft Xbox 360 and select the "System" tab. In the system menu scroll down using your remote control and click "Network Settings."

      Click "Edit Settings" from the "Network Settings" options. This brings up the Internet connection information. Scroll down and select "Select Wireless Network." The Xbox now scans for available Wi-Fi connections.

      Type in your wireless network key using the provided keyboard on the screen, then click "Done." Select "Apply Settings" You are now asked to download updates for your system. Allow the Xbox 360 to update your gaming device. Once it is done you can begin using the Wi-Fi connection on the Xbox 360.
