How to Disable AVG
The AVG anti-virus program is meant to always be open while your computer is on, but there are some instances when it needs to be disabled temporarily. Certain software programs or installation tools will crash if they are used while AVG is still running. You can disable the AVG software by changing some of the settings in the menu, and then turn the software back on once you have finished using the conflicting program.
