How to Remove Too Much Baking Soda From Hair

  • Moisturizing shampoo

      Rinse hair under warm, running water. Do not use hot water as this can further dry out strands.

      Apply a quarter-sized amount of shampoo into the palm of your hands. Rub together and apply to the scalp. Massage into the scalp, but do not pull through to the ends, as these are most likely to be sapped of moisture as a result of the application of too much baking soda.

      Rinse the shampoo from the hair.

      Squeeze the excess water from the ends of hair.

      Apply a condition to the ends of the hair and onto the scalp, about one inch from the roots. Allow to penetrate dry strands for at least five minutes. Rinse with warm water. Follow up with a leavin-in conditioner.
