Look at the connectors on the back of your computer and the back of the projector. Depending on the model of the projector, it will connect using either a USB cable or a standard monitor cable. Before you begin, make sure that your computer has a suitable monitor connection and USB connection. The monitor connection may be blue in color. The USB connection on the computer will be a flat slot, while the connection on the projector will be small and square.

Connect the cables to the back of the projector, and then connect the power cord. After the cables have been connected to the projector, connect the cables up to the computer as well.

Turn the projector on and wait for it to warm up. You may see a plain blue screen when the monitor is on but the computer is off. After you see this screen, turn on the computer and wait for your regular PC screen to appear.

Toggle your computer's video output settings. Check your computer's manual for how to do this, but most laptops use a keyboard combination of Fn and one of the F keys. Normally, you can choose between displaying the computer on the projector only, on both the projector and computer, or the computer only. You can also find settings to control this by going to "Start," "Settings," "Control Panel," "Display" and the Settings tab.
