Remove all dirt from the boots. Scrub waterproof boots with a stiff bristle brush and warm water. Clean suede or roughout leather boots with a suede cleaner bar. Clean oil-tanned or dry-tanned leather with Red Wing Leather Cleaner. Dry the boots naturally with cool, dry air. Avoid using heat to dry the boots, as that can remove essential oils and desiccate the leather.

Condition the boots. Apply Red Wing mink oil to waterproof boots. Apply Red Wing silicone to dry-tan, suede and roughout leather boots. Apply Red Wing Boot Oil, conditioner or mink oil to oil-tanned leather boots. Do not over-oil, as this is a leading cause of early leather fatigue. Follow the directions on the product container.
