      Harvest the English walnuts.

      To shell English walnuts, place each walnut it in a nutcracker in a sideways vertical position.

      Squeeze the nutcracker until the shell slits or breaks open.

      Pull the shell off of the nut.

      Place the shell into the container.

  • These walnuts are best when they have been dried. Find a place outside where the squirrels will not eat them and spread them out on a table or another flat space. If rain is expected, find a suitable place indoors. It takes between 24 and 48 hours to dry them completely.
