How to Refill a Kodak Inkjet
You have two options when it comes to refilling Kodak inkjet cartridges. The first, easiest and least risky is to send the cartridges out to a third-party service that can refill them for you. The other is to refill them yourself using a do-it-yourself inkjet refill kit designed specifically for Kodak inkjet cartridges. Doing the refill yourself is usually the cheapest method, but it also involves the greatest risk. You'll have to be careful of stains to your carpet, clothing or more and potential damage to the printer due if the refill job is botched.

1
Spread out a towel or several layers of newspaper to help catch any mess you might create. Make sure to use a towel you don't mind getting ink-stained.
-
2
Pry the cap or lid off the multi-color ink cartridge or, if it's a one-cartridge Kodak printer, drill a small hole just large enough to admit the needle of the syringe in the refill kit. Place the hole just over the letter "K."

-
3
Fill the syringe with 10 to 15 ml of ink for a single-cartridge inkjet or 5 ml for each color in a multi-color cartridge.
-
4
Insert the syringe into the appropriate hole for each color of ink (test ink colors by dipping a toothpick into the chambers of a multi-color cartridge) and slowly inject the ink, giving the sponge inside the cartridge time to saturate.
-
5
Replace the cap on a multi-color cartridge and use a small strip of tape to keep it in place, making sure not to cover any contact points or the actual ink jets themselves. You don't have to seal the hole you made in the single-color cartridge but if you want to, you can do so by placing a small piece of tape over it.
