How to Make a Sea Salt, Olive Oil and Egg Face Mask
A sea salt, olive oil and egg face mask is a simple, homemade treatment that will help soothe and soften tired and irritated skin. Sea salt, olive oil and egg face mask works just as well as expensive commercial spa products at a fraction of the cost. Making your own skin care products will also limit your exposure to potentially harmful chemicals and additives often found in store-bought products. Things You'll Need
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp. olive oil
- 2 tbsp. flour
- ½ tsp. sea salt
- 2 tbsp. half and half

Mix the eggs and olive oil together in a small bowl with a wire whisk until thoroughly combined.

Add the flour and sea salt and mix to combine. Place the bowl in the microwave and heat on high heat for one minute.

Add the half and half to the mixture and stir thoroughly.

Let the completed face mask cool to room temperature. Transfer the sea salt, olive oil and egg face mask to a small wide-mouth glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Tips & Warnings
To use, spread the face mask over the face and neck with clean hands. Leave the face mask on for 20 minutes and rinse with cool water. Pat the skin dry with a clean cotton towel.
If you are going to use the sea salt, olive oil and egg face mask right after making it, make sure to let it cool to room temperature first.
Avoid mixing or storing homemade skin care products in an aluminum or copper container, as these metals tend to alter the final product negatively.
