How to Send Photos Via Text on the iPhone

Despite the iPhone's popularity, until late 2009 it did not offer MMS (multimeda messaging service)---much to the chagrin of its many owners. Luckily, Apple eventually began to offer the feature on many of its iPhones. Owners of 3G and later iPhones can now send picture and video messages. Best of all, the process is quick and easy.

Instructions

1. Open up the text message function on your phone. Select the conversation you would like to add a MMS message to, or begin a new text message conversation.

2. Locate the camera icon to the left of the field used to add text. Tap the camera icon to bring up the picture menu.

3. Select "Take Photo or Video" or "Choose Existing" on the picture menu. If you choose "Take Photo or Video," the camera function opens on your phone. If you select "Choose Existing," your picture library opens.

4. Tap "Add" after you take a new photo or select one from your library. If you want to attach a message to the photo, simply type it in the text field and it will show up under the photo. Tap "Send."
