How to Erase the eBay Toolbar

The eBay toolbar allows you to search all of the Internet, but also specializes in searching eBay and Half.com. This makes it extremely useful for anyone who regularly shops on either of these Web sites. Some people who download this toolbar find that they rarely use it and it takes up space on their Web browser. As a result, they decide to remove the toolbar. Removing the eBay toolbar is just as easy as removing any other software from your computer, however, there is an extra step you must take that may not be necessary with removing other software.

      Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your computer keyboard to open the Task Manager.

      Look for any tasks that mention eBay and end them. Find a task that says Set.exe and end it. If any task related to the toolbar is running, then you will not be able to uninstall it.

      Open the Start menu and click on Control Panel. Find Add/Remove Programs and click on it.

      Find eBay Toolbar in the list of programs and click on it. Click on Change/Remove to start the removal process. A set of instructions will pop up and guide you through the entire process.

      Restart your computer after the toolbar is uninstalled.
