How to Convert from WMV to MOV Format
Windows Media Video (WMV) is a proprietary file format of Microsoft. While it will run in Windows Media Player, WMV is not usable on a variety of other video players, including most portable MP3 devices. Converting this video to a more adaptable, universal QuickTime Movie (MOV) format is efficient and useful for playback and multimedia programming. The free, open-source program Handbrake can easily rip DVDs to your computer or convert media formats when needed.
