How to Remove Black Permanent Ink From Carpet

Black ink on carpet can be a nightmare, particularly if the carpet is light in color. Remember to test in a small are that is not readily visible, to ensure that "cleaning" the carpet will not actually make the stain worse.

Things You'll Need

• Hairspray
• Warm water
• Vinegar
• Medium stiffness brush
• Old rag

Instructions

2. Mix a cup of warm water with a drop of vinegar. Pour a small amount on the marker stain.

3. Scrub the area with a brush that has medium stiff bristles.

4. Blot the stained area with an old rag until the carpet is dry. If any of the stain remains, repeat the process.
