Creating a free online puzzle is a fun way to manipulate your photos. You can upload a picture from your computer and it will automatically transform into puzzle pieces that you can put together. It is just like a regular jigsaw puzzle, but this one is digital and done on the Internet. Crossword puzzles are also available to create, by inputting words of your choice into a form. Look for websites on the Internet that offer free jigsaw puzzle creation. One way to do this is to do a Google search for "create free jigsaw puzzles." One site in particular that offers this is Jigsaw Planet. Navigate to www.jigsawplanet.com in your Internet browser.

Locate the section at the top of the page that says "Create Puzzle." There is a button that says "Browse." Click this button to look for a picture on your computer to upload to create the jigsaw puzzle. Once you have found it, click "Open."

Type a name in the next field if you wish to name your puzzle. The name will default to whatever the name of the picture is, so change it if you do not wish to use the default name. Click the link that says "Advanced Options" if you want to change the difficulty or shape of the puzzle pieces.

Click the "Create" button. Wait for the next page to load. Click the "Play" link to begin playing your jigsaw puzzle.

Follow the onscreen instructions on how to make words and clues to guess the words. For example, one of your words could be "green" and the clue to your word could be "color of the grass." Enter those in the given box.

Give your crossword puzzle a name, and choose how many rows and columns you want to have in your puzzle. You can choose up to 50 for both. Click the "Create Puzzle" button when you are finished.

Click on the link that says "puzzle" in the second paragraph that begins with "Click puzzle to see your puzzle as a web page." This will give you the puzzle for free. The other options require a download and/or a fee.

For the jigsaw puzzle creator, you also have the option of emailing the puzzle or putting it on a website (such as a personal website). After you have uploaded your picture, instead of clicking "Play" first, click "More" to see the options.
For the crossword puzzle, you may want to consider printing the solution so you have it ready for when you need the answers.
