How to Put a Lund Hood Scoop on a Dodge Truck
The Dodge lineup of trucks is known for power and torque, plus their ability to tow heavy objects. If you want to customize your Dodge to show off some of that power, you can add a hood scoop, such as the ones manufactured by Lund. They're easy to install, and come with everything you need to put a scoop on your truck in just a few minutes.

1
Place the hood scoop on the hood of your truck and set it where you would like it to go. Put masking tape around the area where the scoop will be positioned, as well as across the front and rear of the scoop.
-
2
Measure the width of the hood scoop, front and rear, and mark the middle using the permanent marker on the masking tape. Then measure the width of the hood and mark the center point on the masking tape on the hood with the permanent marker. If you're mounting the hood scoop off-center, then it's not necessary to mark the middle of the hood.

3
Pour rubbing alcohol on the microfiber towel and wipe the area around the hood scoop. This is going to give you a positive surface to mount the scoop, and allow the adhesive to stick.
-
4
Peel the backing of the double-sided tape off the bottom of the hood scoop and slowly place it near the hood. Line up the center marks on the hood scoop with the center marks on the hood, and slowly set it down on the hood. Once you're confident it's centered, push it down firmly on the hood to stick it in place.

5
Remove any masking tape from the vehicle using your hands.
