How to Hook Up an S-Video Cable to a Samsung HDTV
Samsung HDTV sets are equipped with a variety of audio/video jacks for connecting different types of equipment, including older non-digital components. These jacks include a port for an S-video cable that can be used to connect the Samsung HDTV with an older AV receiver for home theater. The four pins inside the S-video plug transmit a signal superior in quality to an RCA-type composite video cable, although S-video delivers only a standard-definition image. This is the best that can be obtained unless the user upgrades to high-definition components and cables to connect with the Samsung HDTV.
