Instructions

    • 1

Since jade plants thrive in sandy soil, mix one part sand with two parts potting soil to create a soil mixture that is better for your jade plant.

    • 2

Fill the new pot about half full with potting soil mixture. The soil should be loosely packed into the bottom of the pot.

    • 3

Using the trowel, carefully loosen and remove some of the potting soil from the pot in which the jade plant is currently planted. Firmly grab the jade plant at the base of the plant and gently loosen the plant from the soil. Carefully pull the entire plant out of the pot and try to avoid damaging any of the roots.

    • 4

Place the jade plant in the center of the pot on top of the fresh soil. Fill in the rest of the pot with fresh potting soil until the jade plant can stand up on its own in the pot. Water the jade plant until the soil is soaked through.

Tips & Warnings

  • Be careful not to over-water your jade plant. Too much moisture can cause the roots to rot.
