How to Get the GPS on Your Palm Centro

The Palm Centro is the more compact model in Palm's line of smartphones. However, its small size doesn't mean it's lacking in features. With Internet access, texting, video camera, MP3 player, it has everything many consumers are looking for in a smartphone. Unfortunately, the one feature it doesn't come equipped with is GPS.

    1. Putting GPS on the Palm Centro

        Purchase a Bluetooth GPS receiver (available at any electronics store.)

        Find a spot outside of your home with a clear, unobstructed view of the sky. Turn on your GPS receiver and wait a few minutes for it to align its signal with a satellite.

        Select the "Set Up Bluetooth" on your Centro's Main menu. The Palm will scan for any Bluetooth device in the area. If your Bluetooth receiver has found its signal, the Centro will recognize it.

        Click the Bluetooth receiver in the "Select Device" box.

        Go to "Google Maps" on the Main menu and highlight the "GPS Device" option. Your Centro will sync up to the Bluetooth receiver and your GPS is now enabled.
