Instructions

  1. Listening Method

    • 1

Inflate the airbed in a quiet location so that you can hear the air escaping.

    • 2

Ask a friend or family member to apply pressure to the airbed either by pressing on it with his hands or by sitting on it.

    • 3

Walk around the airbed and listen for any air hissing from the leak. Listen along the seams as well as the flat areas.

    • 4

Flip the mattress over, if needed, to locate the leak and patch.

    Liquid Soap Method

    • 5

Mix enough liquid soap and water in a spray bottle to make a bubbly solution.

    • 6

Remove any comforters or sheets from the airbed and spray the seams with the soapy water solution.

    • 7

Inspect the seams for bubbling action. If you detect this action, you have found the leak. Wipe the seams dry and patch the leak.
