How to Connect to the Internet When the Browser Won't Open
When you are trying to load a program, nothing can be more frustrating than when it simply won't load. This holds true for most software, including Internet browsers. For some reason, this seems to happen when you desperately need to connect to the Internet. But there are a few tricks you can use to clear up any problems you are having and get the browser open on your computer.

1
Close out any programs you currently have open on the computer. Th"e other programs may be keeping the Internet browser from opening.
-
2
Hold down "Control," "Alt" and "Delete" at the same time. A Task Manager window is going to load with all of the current programs running (if running Windows Vista, click "Start Task Manager"). You may find the Internet browser is running in the background of the computer and, for some reason, won't open again. If the Internet browser is listed as running, select it and click the "End Task" button. Wait a few moments for the program icon to be removed from the list of programs. Try to launch the Internet browser again to see if it loads properly.

3
Try a different Internet browser. If Internet Explorer isn't running, try to launch Firefox or Safari. Sometimes other browsers load when one doesn't. If you do not have two browsers it is a good idea to download a second one once you can reconnect to the Internet.
-
4
Power down the computer and give it a few moments to rest. After a minute or two power the computer back on.
-
5
Attempt to use other computers on the same Internet connection. If none of the computers are having success logging into the Internet, contact your Internet provider.
