How to Create a Coral & Purple Eye Look for Fall

During the fall season, some women tend to favor neutral, flesh-toned makeup. Rich colors enhance the face, and for fall, bright colors like coral can help refresh your look. This eye look is smokey with a deep purple to offset the light coral eye shadow. The eye is framed by long, full eyelashes, courtesy of mascara, to give the appearance of a wide-awake eye. This purple eye should be worn with purple or black to best offset the colors on the eye. Any skin or hair color will look flattering in this makeup. Wear your hair down to further enhance how this eye will look on you.

    Instructions

    Things You'll Need

    • Eye primer
    • Bronze-silver eye shadow
    • Shadow brush
    • Light coral eye shadow
    • Blending brush
    • Lavender eye shadow
    • Highlight powder
    • Highlighting brush
    • Liquid eyeliner
    • Black mascara
      • 1

Apply eye primer to the eyelid using your fingers. Eye primer is a cream or gel that prevents eye makeup from creasing.

      • 2

Apply a bronze-silver shadow to the eye lid using a shadow brush.

      • 3

Apply a light coral eye shadow over the bronze-silver shadow, and blend up toward the brow bone with a blending brush. Use light strokes to ensure the coral melds with the bronze-silver shadow, but does not completely fade either color.

Use the same blending brush to apply a lavender eye shadow to the outer corner of the eye and blend inward toward the middle of the eyelid.

      • 5

Apply a highlight powder to the brow bone using a highlighting brush.

      • 6

Line the upper lash line, and the outer third of the lower lash line with a liquid eyeliner.

      • 7

Apply black mascara to the upper lash line only. Wiggle the comb at the root as you move up the lashes to prevent clumping.
