How to Decorate a Mirror With Glass Stones

Mirrors are a great item to decorate with, as they can change with the scenery of your room. Mirrors themselves can actually be decorated as well. One way to jazz up a boring mirror is to add some glass stones to serve as a frame. Mirrors decorated with glass stones look great in bathrooms and sunrooms especially. If you want to try this with one of your mirrors, you will need to learn how to properly attach them so that the adhesive is not seen.

Instructions

    • 1

Decide how wide of a frame you want on your mirror. The frame will be placed directly on the mirror, so keep that in mind, because you won't want to cover the entire mirror.

    • 2

Measure from each edge of the mirror and place a mark with a dry erase marker where the frame will end.

    • 3

Use your ruler to draw a straight line and mark off the entire frame. Do not worry about botched lines, as dry erase marker is easily wiped off of glass surfaces.

    • 4

Use your hot glue gun to apply a small dot of glue to the back of a glass stone. Place the stone just inside one of the lines you created.

    • 5

Continue the same process until you have lined the entire drawn frame with glass stones.

    • 6

Fill the rest of the frame with stones, all the way to the edge of the mirror, or leave the single line of stones if you like the way it looks already.

    • 7

Use a dry paper towel to wipe off any visible dry erase marker lines.

Tips & Warnings
