How to Clean Pool Balls at Home

Serious home billiard players know the importance of pool table and pool ball maintenance. When you take the time and make the effort to maintain your billiard table, it is equally important to keep the billiard balls clean. Some pool enthusiasts clean their pool balls after every time they use them to keep the cloth on the pool table clean and looking nice.

Things You'll Need

• Pool balls
• Pool ball cleaner
• Microfiber cleaning cloth
• Clean cloth

Instructions

1. Spray one or two sprays of the pool ball cleaner onto a pool ball.

2. Rub the pool ball cleaner around the pool ball with the microfiber cleaning cloth.

3. Buff the surface of the ball with the clean cloth to shine the pool ball and finish cleaning it.

4. Repeat Steps 1 through 3 to clean each pool ball.

5. Return the pool balls to the device you use to store them.

Tips & Warnings

• Because pool balls attract dust and pool chalk, they get dirty quickly. Preserve the felt of your pool table by keeping pool balls as clean as possible. Clean the pool balls after each time you use them for best results.

• Do not use products such as ammonia and bleach to clean pool balls. Over time, these chemicals will wear away the colors of the pool balls.
