How to Clear AVG Toolbar
The AVG Security Toolbar is an AVG Antivirus component that installs to your web browser and alerts you of dangerous websites before you visit them. Once you enable it, it launches automatically when you open your web browser. You can disable the AVG Security Toolbar if you are not using it. You can also uninstall and delete it from your computer if you want to remove it completely.

Disable the AVG Security Toolbar. To do so, launch your web browser. Click the "Safety" or "Tools" button and click "Manage Add-ons."

Click AVG Security Toolbar and click "Disable" to remove it from your web browser. Alternatively, you can disable it by right-clicking the browser panel on the top and removing the check from "AVG Security Toolbar." Restart your web browser.

Uninstall AVG Antivirus if you want to remove the Security Toolbar completely. To do so, right-click the AVG icon located on the system tray next to the clock and click "Exit." Click "OK" to shut down the application.

Click the Windows "Start" menu and click the "Control Panel." Double-click "Add or Remove Programs" to launch the programs console if you are using Windows XP. For Windows Vista and 7 users, click "Program and Features" under "Programs" to launch the programs console.

Click "AVG" and click "Remove/Uninstall." Click "OK" to confirm and uninstall the application from your computer. When prompted, restart your computer. The AVG Security Toolbar is no longer on your computer.
