You can keep up with other Twitter users on your cellphone.

Twitter is a social-networking tool that allows you to connect with other Twitter users in a variety of ways. You can Tweet messages, re-Tweet other peoples' messages and send replies to other users. Another way to connect with people on Twitter is to send a direct message. A direct message sends a private message to another Twitter user and leaves the message in that person's inbox. Direct messages are often referred to as DMs.

Instructions

    • 1

Click the "Messages" tab. A new page opens.

    • 2

Click "New Message" to start a new direct message. A message dialog box opens.

    • 3

Type the Twitter user name to whom you want to send the DM. Type the message you want to send to that person and click the "Send" button. You just sent a DM to the person you specified.
