How to Send a Direct Message With Twitter
Twitter is a social-networking tool that allows you to connect with other Twitter users in a variety of ways. You can Tweet messages, re-Tweet other peoples' messages and send replies to other users. Another way to connect with people on Twitter is to send a direct message. A direct message sends a private message to another Twitter user and leaves the message in that person's inbox. Direct messages are often referred to as DMs.
