How to Clean Nail Clippers
Nail clippers are used to trim fingernails and toenails. Most households share one set of nail clippers. If those nail clippers are not properly cleaned, bacteria or fungus can be spread from one family member to another. Cleaning your nail clippers will only take a total of 15 minutes. Things You'll Need
- 1 cup hot water
- Bowl
- 2 drops liquid dish soap
- Rubbing alcohol
- Paper towels

Place a cup of hot water in a bowl.

Add dish soap to the water and give it a stir.

Drop your nail clippers in the soapy water and let them sit for 10 minutes. You can move them around in the water a little bit before you take them out. This will help to get the dirt off of the nail clippers.

Dump the water out of the bowl and rinse the nail clippers off under a faucet of running water.

Pour some rubbing alcohol on a paper towel. Use the paper towel to wipe down the nail clippers. This disinfects the nail clippers so that they will be ready for the next use.

Dry the nail clippers with a paper towel after you are done wiping them down with the rubbing alcohol. If you let them stay wet, they can rust.

Have a separate set of nail clippers for your children. Children require a smaller size nail clipper in order to prevent cuts or cutting the nail shorter than intended.
