How to Play Videos With a Sony Walkman

Download onto your computer the video or video clip you want to transfer to your Sony Walkman MP3. Save the video in a location you can easily find, such as on the desktop.

Plug the larger end of the USB cord that came with the Walkman into the bottom of the Walkman and the smaller end into the USB port on your computer. This port is typically located on the side or the back of your computer or laptop.

Wait for the computer to recognize the Walkman. Click "Cancel" to close the pop-up box that appears asking what you want to do with the device. Click the "Start" menu and choose "My Computer." Double-click on the Walkman. In the folder that opens, double-click "Videos" or right-click and choose "New Folder" if a video folder doesn't exist. Create a new folder labeled videos and click on it. Store your videos in this folder so you can find them easily.

Minimize this window and click "Start" and "My Computer" again. Click the folder where you saved the video you want to put on your Walkman. Click "Desktop" if the video is on your computer's desktop instead of in a folder.

Click the video and drag it to the bottom of the screen. While still holding the mouse button down, hover over the minimized Walkman folder until it opens. Drag the video to a blank area of the screen and release the mouse button. The video should transfer to the Walkman.

Unplug the Walkman after the video has transferred and turn it on. Go to the main menu and scroll down to Videos. Select this and your video, along with any others on the Walkman, should appear in a list. Select the video you want and it should play on the screen. If it does not start to play, the file may be corrupt or that specific type of video may not work on your Sony Walkman.
