How to Fold Air Mattresses
Air mattresses are the perfect solution if you're on an outdoor camping trip or simply hosting an overnight guest at your home. They're portable, comfortable and easy to put away when morning comes. Once you've deflated your air mattress, it's no more difficult folding your air mattress than it is making your bed. Attach air pump to your air mattress' air valve. Select "deflate" on your air pump and turn it on.

Continue operating air pump until all air is removed from your air mattress. Disconnect air pump from your mattress' air valve. Run your hands over the mattress to ensure no air bubbles remain inside the deflated air mattress.

Fold the flattened air mattress in half longways. Fold in half again. Fold in half a third time so that the mattress is approximately one foot to 18 inches wide and approximately seven feet long. Reduce the length of your flattened mattress by folding longways two or three times.

Apply weight on the folded mattress one more time to be sure there is no are remaining before putting the air mattress away in its original container or your backpack.

After you purchase your air mattress, it always is a good idea not to get rid of the original packaging because that is an ideal place to store your deflated, folded mattress.
