  • 4 oz. glycerin soap
  • 5 tbsp. raw tomato juice
  • ½ tsp. red wine vinegar
  • 15 drops lemon essential oil
  • 1 tsp. baking soda

Instructions

      Melt the glycerin soap in a small saucepan over low heat until completely liquefied.

      Add the tomato juice, red wine vinegar and lemon essential oil. Remove the saucepan from heat.

      Stir in the baking soda with a wooden spoon or glass stirrer. Continue stirring until the baking soda has fully dissolved.

      Pour the soap into a bar soap mold and let it set for three to four hours.

Tips & Warnings

  • You can purchase all of the ingredients needed to make tomato and lemon body through a health food store or online specialty retailer. If a health food store in your area does not have glycerin soap, most drugstores will carry it.

  • If the soap is too harsh for your skin, replace half of the lemon essential oil with rosemary and lavender essential oil.

  • Avoid mixing or storing any type of homemade skin care product in an aluminum container, as there is serious concern about heavy metals entering the body through the pores.
