How to Uninstall Internet Explorer in Windows Vista

Internet Explorer is a web browser that allows you to browse the Internet. It is a popular web browser mainly found on Windows Vista operating systems. However, you can uninstall it from your computer if you are not using it, or if you are interested in another web browser. Using Windows Vista uninstallation tool, removing Internet Explorer is both a simple and safe process.

Instructions

1. Close all programs and click the Windows "Start" menu. Click the "Control Panel."

2. Click the "Uninstall a Program" link under "Programs" to launch the programs management console.

3. Click the "View installed updates" check-box located on the top of the programs management console. Scroll down.

4. Double-click "Internet Explorer." (The version you have installed may vary based on the age of your computer.) Click "Yes" to uninstall the web browser in the "Uninstall an update" dialog box.

5. Follow the guided prompts to uninstall the web browser from your computer. When prompted, restart your computer.
