How to Make Cold Cream Soap
Cold cream soap is a simple, natural remedy for irritated skin that needs essential moisture to be healthy. Cold cream soap is especially useful for all skin types during the cold fall and winter months when cold winds and low temperatures sap the skin's normal moisture. Cold cream soap also makes a wonderful gift, especially as part of a package including homemade shampoo, conditioner and moisturizing body lotion. Things You'll Need
- 4 oz. glycerin soap
- 2 tsp. prepared cold cream
- 10 drops rose essential oil
- Bar soap mold

Melt the glycerin soap in a heavy saucepan over low heat until is completely liquefied.

Add the cold cream and heat until completely dissolved. Remove the saucepan from heat.

Add the rose essential oil and stir with a wooden spoon or glass stirrer.

Pour the soap into a bar soap mold and let it set for 6 hours.

Tips & Warnings
If the rose scent is too bold for you, you can add vanilla or lavender essential oil in place of half of the rose essential oil.
The ingredients and bar soap mold used to make cold cream soap can all be found in most health-food stores or through an online specialty retailer.
Avoid mixing or storing any type of homemade soap or skin-care products in an aluminum or copper container, for these metals tend to alter the final product negatively.
