Instructions

    • 1

Examine the pulled area carefully. You will probably be able to see the netting on the bottom of the carpet in the area where the carpet fiber is now missing. Do not cut off the carpet pull.

    • 2

Apply a line of glue along the entire area of the pull on top of the carpet netting. Apply a generous amount of glue.

    • 3

Use the handle end of the paintbrush to poke the carpet pull back into the carpet run. The goal is to insert the carpet fiber back into the gap to fill it. As you insert the carpet fiber back in, the glue will adhere to it. Continue inserting the carpet fiber along the entire pulled area.

    • 4

Place the heavy books over the pulled area, covering the area completely. Use as many books as necessary to cover the entire glued area. Leave the books on the glued area for 30 minutes.

    • 5

Remove the books. Do not allow regular foot traffic to the area for approximately 24 hours.

    • 6

Wait until the glue dries completely and then use your fingers to fluff the glued area and make it blend in with the surrounding carpet fibers. When you are finished blending, the glued area should not be obvious or detectable.
