Instructions

    • 1

Pour a small amount of Goo Gone onto a damp sponge and wipe the sponge along an edge or seam of the wallpaper. Continue until you find a spot where the paper starts to curl up from the wall. Wait a few minutes, leaving the Goo Gone on the wallpaper.

    • 2

Slide a paint scraper or putty knife under the wall paper that has started to peel away and start pulling it off the wall, using even pressure. Don't apply too much force against resistance so you don't damage the wall surface.

    • 3

Apply more Goo Gone to the sponge and wipe it on the wallpaper if you come across a stubborn area.

    • 4

Identify areas of the wall where adhesive is left behind once you've removed all the wall paper. Scrub these areas with Goo Gone to remove the adhesive.

    • 5

Use a grease-cutting dish soap to remove any Goo Gone residue when the wall is free of paper and adhesive. Since Goo Gone is oil-based, it can leave behind some greasy residue of its own.
