How to Convert WMA to MPEG for Free
WMA, or Windows Media Audio, is the Microsoft-developed audio format specifically for PCs. You want to convert WMAs to MPEG format when merging separate audio and video tracks for editing. Since WMAs are audio tracks and MPEGs are generally for audio and video, two programs are needed: iTunes and QuickTime Player, both free. iTunes will first convert your WMA to a QuickTime-supported audio file. QuickTime can then convert the audio file to an MPEG. If working on a Mac, see the Tips section.
