How to Cure Your Back Pain With the Fit For Life Diet

Harvey Diamond created the Fit For Life diet in the 1980s, and it became extremely fashionable. While the diet is less popular nowadays, taking a backseat to low-carb versions, it does promise to relieve pain, particularly the pain from fibromyalgia, arthritis, lupus and other forms of pain. Diamond believes that pain is a warning sign from the body, alerting the mind that it is dealing with too many toxins. Diamond believes that once a healthier lifestyle is adopted, according to the Fit For Life plan, the warnings from the body, in the form of pain, will cease, including back pain.

Instructions

    • 1

Eat fruit in the morning. Diamond believes that in the morning, your body is still processing the food you ate from the previous day and is still in the act of decontaminating itself. Do not mix fruit with any other foods, not yogurt, nuts, chocolate nor cheese.

    • 2

Eat one carbohydrate-heavy meal per day. This meal can consist of whatever you like, except protein. You can eat a variety of grains, pastas, breads, beans and vegetables, in any meal-form you would like.

    • 3

Eat one protein-heavy meal per day. This meal can consist of any form of protein such as fish, eggs, chicken, beef, turkey or duck with vegetables. You cannot have any starch-based carbohydrate with this meal.

Tips & Warnings

  • Under the Fit For Life plan you can never combine protein with starchy carbohydrates. Diamond believes that when protein and starchy carbs are eaten together, they are not properly digested.
